Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of shepyrd.tech. They cover the website itself — not consulting engagements (those are always governed by a separate written agreement, never by this page).

By visiting or using the site, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.

Who runs this site

Shepyrd is a strategic technology consultancy based in Malaysia. We're the operator of this website.

What the site is for

This site is a window into who we are and what we do. You can:

  • Read about our services
  • Read about us
  • Submit a contact form to start a conversation about working together

What it isn't: an online store, a SaaS platform, an account-based service, or a place where you can transact directly. Any engagement begins with a conversation (via the contact form) and is formalised in a written agreement before any work or payment.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the site reasonably and in good faith. In particular:

  • Don't scrape, crawl, or mirror the site at scale. Search engine crawlers obeying robots.txt are welcome; everything else is not.
  • Don't try to break in, probe, or attack the site. This includes attempting unauthorized access, denial-of-service, injection attempts, or other security-affecting actions.
  • Don't submit false or impersonating information through the contact form. Use your real name and email.
  • Don't use the contact form to send spam, marketing pitches, or unsolicited offers. Inquiries that aren't a genuine fit for our services may be ignored.
  • Don't upload or transmit anything unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or that infringes others' rights.

Abuse of the site (form spam, repeated rate-limit violations, attempted attacks) may result in your IP being blocked at the network or application layer.

Intellectual property

Everything on this site — text, photographs, illustrations, the Shepyrd name and logo, the design and structure — is owned by us (or used under licence) and protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may:

  • View and read pages freely
  • Share links to public pages
  • Quote short excerpts (with attribution)
  • Save pages for personal reference

You may not:

  • Republish or copy substantial content elsewhere without written permission
  • Use our name, logo, or branding to imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation
  • Use any part of the site or its content to train machine-learning models without our explicit written consent

Open-source code

Some of the code that powers this site is or may be released under open-source licences. Those releases are governed by the licence accompanying each release, not by this page.

No professional advice

The content on this site (blog posts, service descriptions, examples, anything similar) is general information, not specific technical, legal, or business advice. Don't act on it without consulting someone qualified for your specific situation. If you want our advice specifically, hire us — that's what the contact form is for.

Service availability

We do our best to keep the site available, secure, and current. We can't promise it'll be online 100% of the time, that pages won't change or be removed, or that the site will be free of errors. Use it as-is.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We provide the site "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising from your use of the site is limited to MYR 100 (one hundred Malaysian Ringgit).

This does not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded by Malaysian law.

Third-party links

Pages on this site may link to third-party websites (GitHub, our hosting provider's status page, AWS, etc.). We don't control those sites, don't endorse their content, and aren't responsible for their availability or what they do with your data. Each has its own terms and privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll post a brief notice on the home page for at least 30 days. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that can't be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
